Our PURPOSE is...

to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW is...

Faith, Hope, Love in Action = the Vision of UMW

Women, Children, Youth = the Mission Focus of all projects that we do.

Locally, Nationally, Globally = areas where UMW works formission. Response Magazine show UMW missions globally.

Homelessness, Immigration, Domestic Violence = Goals for the UMW Alexandria District. We are connected to other UMWomen in the Alexandria District, the Virginia Conference, and the Southeastern Jurisdiction.

Know God, Develop Fellowship, Expand Mission = Part of the UMW Purpose.

Prayers, Response to need, Financial Gifts = pledged by members of UMW.

UMW has been at OBUMC since 1989. The UMW meets the second Saturday of each month from 9:30am - 11:30am at the church.
